Hola!
Wow, what a week it has been! Where to start...
There are a total of 6 Districts at the CCM (MTC). There are 3 groups of the 3 week missionaries, and 3 of the 6 week missionaries. I am in Districto 6! (we started a thing where one of us says loud, Districto Seis and the rest say WOOOO!!) I think our group laughs and gets along the most.
We've been eating from the Casino (cafeteria) and most of the food consists of rice, some type of sausage, or pasta and soup. They eat alot of sweets, so there is always some type of dessert and a fridge full of helados (ice cream bars or bowls).
My companera is Hermana Rios. She is a native to Santiago Chile, Ricoleta Republica area. She speaks very fast, but we've been able to understand each other so far and work together well. She is 26 and is called to serve in the Antofagasta mission.
So far our schedule is the same everyday, from 6:30-10:30. Get ready, planning with companion, personal study, 8 Fundamentals (Doctrine of Christ, How to Teach your Investigator, etc..), Practice with Companion, Exercise, Lunch!, Progressive Investigator (we have two teachers everyday, one in the morning and evening. They are both our Investigators) to teach them the lessons as if we were teaching a real investigator because these are real peoples lives they are acting. The last appointment I had with my Teacher Hermana Meza (Investigator Sonia) I shared my testimony and how I admired her and our love for her and I cried a little and she was starting to cry too. It was a great experience.
I have felt your prayers, hugs and love throughout this experience. Especially today in the morning, we did a session at the Santiago Temple, which is just a few steps away from the Ospedaje or CCM building where we live. It was such a great experience.
I will try to have more info prepared before I write, but overall this experience is helping me grow in so many ways already. Please pray for my companion, my district, and for me to speak Spanish with more fluency. I am praying for each of you every day and am so thankful for your love and support!
Until next time,
Con Amor!
